Alternate Game Modes
One way to play did not sound like enough choices for a game of decision-making, so read on to find other ways you and your friends can play Principle Dilemma.
Compounding AKA (Party Mode)
In this alternate form of game play you proceed in the same manner as described in the game rules; however, instead of each Trickster placing their cards face down, the first Trickster plays their card from their hand and the other players wait. On the second Trickster’s turn, they play their Deceit card as if the previous Trickster’s alteration to the Dilemma was the original. Now, the second Trickster must also attempt to convince the Hero to choose the option the Hero did not choose at the end of the first Trickster’s turn. (The current Trickster must convince the Hero to change their mind from whatever decision they made last). This continues to build (the Deceit cards compound). If no one can change the Hero’s mind at the end of the round, the Hero gets a point. Be forewarned, things can spiral out of control quickly.
Sudden Death
In this alternate form of game play all rules remain the same as in the original game. However, Tricksters may always only have one Deceit card in their hand. This means there is no selection made as to which card to play; Tricksters have only one option.
Team Play
In this game mode two players make up a team. All Hero responsibilities are decisions jointly made by both partners. As for the Tricksters, one player plays a card from their hand without letting their partner know which card was played. It is up to their partner to flip it over and determine how to use it to affect the Dilemma.
